Sandyford Properties has recently commissioned a new roadside unit for established UK retail giant, Tesco.

Due for completion in October 2022, the Tesco Express convenience store will be built by leading construction specialists, Egan Projects.

The new circa 4,000 sqft store will be located near to the busy Far Green Industrial Estate in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and adds to Sandyford Properties’ diverse commercial portfolio.

Paul Brindley of Sandyford Properties commented: “Once completed, Tesco will take a 15-year lease on the unit, and it will much improve an area of the estate that was previously in need of a bit of investment and an upgrade.

“Post-completion, the store will create the equivalent of 20 full-time jobs and is set to become a popular amenity for nearby workers and residents.

“It will also provide 10 parking spaces for staff and customers.”

Projects Manager at Egan Projects, John Westwood said: “We’re enthusiastic to begin the construction of a new Tesco Express for Sandyford Properties. The new store will be ideal for neighbouring workers at Far Green Industrial Estate, once completed and fitted out.”

We will announce further updates of the Tesco Express site development in the coming months. Find out more about our commercial and industrial units to let here.
