Long-standing Stoke-on-Trent flooring supplier expands into larger premises
After a year of substantial growth, flooring supplier Harrison Carpets has upgraded to new, bigger premises with long-term proprietor, Sandyford Properties.
For 18 years, Harrison Carpets has operated out of Westmill Street, on Joiners Square Industrial Estate. When the family business needed more space due to its exceptional year of going from strength to strength, Sandyford Properties were on hand to find the perfect new location for their longstanding occupiers.
Harrison Carpets moved from units 4-7 Westmill Street in Joiners Square to a newly refurbished larger unit on the industrial estate, off Leek Road. The Leek Road unit is 6,124 sqft which is ideal for the company’s expansion.
Emma Lonczyk, Director of Harrison Carpets Ltd said: “We’ve grown so rapidly, despite the pandemic and Sandyford Properties have supported us every step of the way. When looking to expand our business, the team gave us a selection of options that would best suit our needs.”
Joiners Square is one of Stoke’s leading business locations, Emma added: “A prominent main road location was imperative for us as our business does not have a website, so we rely on enquires from word-of-mouth recommendations.
“The team at Sandyford Properties were extremely supportive in the move, allowing us to transfer our stock and infrastructure to the new facility over a matter of weeks, alleviating any pressure. They helped us to find the perfect location, collaborating with us closely to understand the business’s needs.”
Harrison Carpets Ltd had previously conducted its business in four separate units, moving under one roof has meant managing the firm is much easier, especially after significant growth over the last twelve months.
Paul Brindley of Sandyford Properties said: “We’re pleased to have Harrison Carpets Ltd as a long-standing occupier, the relationship we have with Emma and the team is second-to-none. We will endeavour to support their family business and accommodate their growth in the future.
Paul added: “We’ve invested heavily in growing our business this year. We wouldn’t have been able to do that had it not been for the excellent relationships we have with our occupiers. Most stay with us long term and we truly appreciate that.”
Successful flooring supplier, Harrison Carpets Ltd has served the market in Cheshire and Staffordshire for over 50 years.
Joiners Square Industrial Estate has fifty-eight business and serviced office units ranging from circa 1,000 sqft to 2,500 sqft. The urban location and plentiful parking facilities accommodate a range of business types including wholesale, trade counter, leisure and motor trade use.
