Global Adventure Challenges (GAC) occupies two offices as well as two workshops within Red Hill House in Chester. The Cheshire business centre, located on Hope Street, features a total of 53 offices, which range from 142sqft right up to 633sqft along with 7 workshops.
GAC has occupied Red Hill House Business Centre for over a decade and as a result, experienced Sandyford Properties’ acquisition of Brymau Estates in early 2021. Matthew Rushton, Director of Global Adventure Challenges commented:
“There has been absolutely no disruption to our business which we are very pleased with. We have continued to dedicate our time in creating life-changing challenge events for groups and individuals, who wish to raise funds for their chosen charity.”
Global Adventure Challenges provide experiences for those who are seeking adventure, whilst contributing to a worthy cause. The company now has over 130 events happening each year, meaning their team is bigger than ever.
Matthew Rushton and Peter Robinson, Company Directors of GAC run a niche operation. Due to their day-to-day activities the business requires multiple offices and workshops to house their staff and equipment. Matthew said:
“The facilities at Red Hill House are perfect for our requirements.”
GAC is primarily involved in the travel industry, so during the pandemic the business faced concerns and needed to reduce their space. Sandyford Properties truly care about their occupiers and so they began to discuss options with the challenge event company. Matthew commented:
“Sandyford Properties are really flexible when it comes to leasing. Their terms are great for us because they run annually, which means we don’t have to commit to a three or five-year lease, for example.”
He added: “Through the last couple of years, Sandyford Properties were really understanding of our requirement to decrease our capacity at Red Hill House. It was so simple to do this because of the innovative layout of the business centre. The business centre’s design features interconnecting doors, and so it provides the flexibility we need.
“Looking forward, we have some genuinely exciting projects coming up and we may need to expand again. Sandyford have assured Peter and I that they will accommodate us, whether that be here at Red Hill House or elsewhere in their portfolio.”
In the beginning of Global Adventure Challenges, Matthew and Peter found it remarkably difficult to find somewhere that fitted their needs perfectly due to the nature of their business. The Directors said: “The location of Red Hill House is excellent with great amenities nearby; we are very happy here. Its facilities include an on-site reception which is brilliant for our visitors to be greeted on arrival, as well as the option to utilise the postal service when we need to.”
He concluded: “The team at Sandyford Properties are all very friendly and their service is second-to-none. They really understand our needs and are only too happy to help where they can. We hope to continue our relationship for many years to come.”
