Brymau transition to Sandyford Properties

We are delighted to have gone from strength-to-strength after the acquisition of Brymau Estates, a multi-let commercial property company, in early 2021. As a long-standing family-owned company, Brymau had much of the same long-term mindset and principals about how its business was run as Sandyford Properties. This has led to a successful transition from Brymau for all involved.

Brymau Estates was a thriving family orientated business which accommodated over 90 business occupiers. It was extremely important for us to continue to offer the service levels that had attracted many of them to Brymau in the first place and ensure continuity with many of the old Brymau employees.

Matthew Rushton, director of Global Adventure Challenges, a long-standing Brymau occupier at Red Hill House, commented on the transition from Brymau to Sandyford Properties: “There has been absolutely no disruption to our business which we are very pleased with. We have continued to dedicate our time in creating life-changing challenge events for groups and individuals, who wish to raise funds for their chosen charity.

“Sandyford Properties has been so accommodating to our needs, especially throughout the unpredictable year we have had. Our business has needed to be very flexible, which Sandyford has reflected in its service.”

The six Brymau sites added over 230,000sqft of lettable space to the Sandyford portfolio, ranging from small offices to mid-size industrial units. Moreover, we are actively looking to acquire further space in Chester to expand our breadth of offering in the area with a further industrial acquisition currently in legals. The fantastic range of facilities will help us to provide room to grow for businesses of all sizes.

The Brymau Estate properties are in and around Saltney in Chester, all of which offer a dedicated local management team. Over the last five years, Brymau Two and Three, Four and Six, The Sidings and Red Hill House have received investment of £850,000 in building improvements. Sandyford is continuing to invest and a new 14,700 sqft industrial unit should be brought back into use in 2022 following a substantial refurbishment.

In addition, further investment is being looked at for Red Hill House, the company’s flexible office and workspace offering. Red Hill House offers serviced accommodation with an on-site reception and is ideal for companies looking for the flexibility to expand and reduce their space as their business requires. It also offers meeting and training rooms that are available by the hour not only for building occupiers but the wider portfolio and external parties too.

Purchasing Brymau has allowed us to expand our portfolio into the Cheshire region so that we can offer particularly well-maintained workshops and offices for even more local businesses.
