  • While vacant assets will be considered, preference will be given to estates with more than 50% occupancy
  • Located within the West and East Midlands and the North West
  • Must have reversionary potential with or without capex
  • Lot sizes of up to £15 million

Since 1947, Sandyford Properties has been a trusted provider of property solutions in Staffordshire. Over the years, we have accommodated numerous local and national businesses. 1947
Painting the past: the Story of Albert Wallace Bowker's company
The company was founded by Albert Wallace Bowker in 1947. Originally operating as a sole trader in Stoke on Trent with a team of painters and decorators, the initial focus was on residential properties. Albert Bowker’s first ‘lock up’ for storing decorating materials is pictured.

1960
Relocating and rising, the Bowker Company's move to Joiners Square
In the late 1960s, the business moved to the Joiners Square area of Stoke on Trent, establishing its office above a hardware shop (also run by the company) at 507 - 511 Leek Road, pictured.

1969
Our first industrial estate
The company’s first industrial estate, Far Green Industrial Estate, was formed in 1969, leading to further acquisitions of vacant factory premises in 1981 and 1988 which were split up into small business units, becoming Park Works and Trent Trading Park. The first tenant at Trent Trading Park, in the first completed unit, remains there to this day.

1970s
Redefining what it means to be professional
Joiners Square Industrial Estate was developed by the company over the next 20 years, with areas of terraced houses gradually demolished and replaced with industrial units, built under the company’s supervision.

1980s & 1990s
The Bowker Company, a legacy of growth, change, and continuity
The business continued to expand throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with retail, office and industrial properties, largely within the North Staffordshire area. Albert Bowker passed away in 2011 and his grandson, Paul Brindley, joined the business in late 2016.

2000s
The evolution of Sandyford Properties, from diversification to specialization
Since 2016, Sandyford Properties has gone back to its multi-let industrial roots and has grown significantly with acquisitions in Cheshire and the West Midlands. With more than 90% of its business now comprising multi-let industrial accommodation, Sandyford Properties is a leading player in the Midlands and North West.
